4. Writing Implements: Pencils and erasers are essential for making changes to character sheets as the game progresses.

5. Notebook or Journal: Useful for taking notes about the game's story, clues, and important NPC interactions.

6. Destiny Tokens: Used to manage Destiny Points, which influence various aspects of gameplay and narrative twists.

Destiny Tokens? Huh?

You can use anything small that can be used to resemble a small token, as long as they can be identified easily as belonging to you, either by shape, or preferred, by color.

7. Range Ruler or Measuring Tape: Helpful for visualizing and determining distances during combat and other scenarios.

8. Star Wars Themed Miniatures or Tokens: While not strictly necessary, they can enhance the visual experience and help track positioning in combat.

Only if ya got'em!

I don't expect you to have figurines nor will I ever require them, but if you have some, and wish to use them, talk to me first πŸ˜„

12. Comfortable Seating: Ensures that players can enjoy long sessions without discomfort.

14. Respect for Fellow Players and GM: Essential for a cooperative and enjoyable game experience.

15. Patience and Flexibility: Important for dealing with the dynamic nature of RPGs where the unexpected can and will happen.

Essential Rules

1. Custom Dice: SWRPG uses custom dice, including Ability, Proficiency, Difficulty, Challenge, Boost, Setback, and Force dice, each with unique symbols determining different outcomes.

2. Dice Pool Construction: Players construct a dice pool using Ability dice based on character skills and upgrade these with Proficiency dice for expertise. They add Difficulty and/or Challenge dice based on the task's complexity.

3. Resolving Actions: To resolve actions, sum up the symbols on the rolled dice.

Successes (🟩) and Failures (πŸŸ₯) cancel each other out.

So do Advantages (🟨) and Threats (πŸŸͺ).

4. Success and Failure: An action is successful if there are more Success symbols remaining than Failure symbols after cancellation. Otherwise, the action fails.

5. Advantages and Threats: Advantages can be used to add narrative or mechanical benefits, while Threats introduce complications or minor negative effects.

6. Triumph and Despair:

Triumph (🟨) symbols represent significant successes and can activate critical effects.

Despair (πŸŸ₯) symbols mean critical failures and can lead to severe negative consequences.

7. Force Dice: Used primarily by Force-sensitive characters to harness the Force, rolling either Light Side (βšͺ) or Dark Side (⚫) points.

8. Using Destiny Points: Players and the GM use Light and Dark Side Destiny Points to influence narrative elements and gameplay, flipping a point from one side to the other to activate certain abilities or modify rolls.

9. Character Motivation: Characters are driven by motivations which can impact roleplay and decisions during the game, influencing the narrative and character development.

10. Skill Checks: Skills are tested against a set difficulty, with the outcome determined by the dice roll, reflecting both the character's competence and the task's inherent challenge.

11. Combat Mechanics: Combat involves rounds and initiative, with characters performing maneuvers and actions. Understanding range bands and cover is crucial.

12. Critical Injuries: Critical injuries can occur in combat and have lasting effects on characters, indicated by a separate roll on the Critical Injury table.

13. Range Bands: Unlike exact measurements, SWRPG uses range bands (close, medium, long, extreme) to simplify movement and positioning in combat.

14. Maneuvers and Actions: Each turn, a character can perform one action (like attacking or using a skill) and a maneuver (such as moving or drawing a weapon), with the option to perform an additional maneuver at a strain cost.

15. Strain and Stress: Characters manage a strain threshold which can be taxed by various actions, stress, or environmental effects, affecting their performance and capabilities.

16. Obligation, Duty, and Morality: Depending on the campaign (Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, or Force and Destiny), characters deal with Obligation, Duty, or Morality, impacting gameplay and character arcs.

17. Equipment and Resources: Managing resources, from credits to equipment like weapons and starships, is essential, affecting capabilities and options during missions.

18. Talents and Special Abilities: Characters develop unique talents and abilities that provide specific benefits or allow rule exceptions, shaping their role in the party and their gameplay style.

19. Environmental Effects: Environmental factors can affect actions and outcomes, requiring additional dice (like Setback dice) be added to the pool.

20. Narrative Focus: The game emphasizes a narrative-driven approach, encouraging creative problem-solving and storytelling over strict adherence to rules.
